A Channel Of Knowledge
Born in Hawaii and raised in New Jersey, Jessica Wakula is a former, beloved teacher and respected administrator. Currently, Jess applies her deep understanding of the multi-faceted education system in the field of Professional Development as the founder of Education Reframed. The OisF is exceedingly grateful for Jessica’s willingness to channel her expertise as The OisF’s NEW Community Outreach Coordinator.
To Infinity and Beyond
“Jessica Wakula is a truly spectacular and dynamic leader that we are so excited to introduce to our community,” Alli Scaduto, founder of The OisF exclaims. “Jess has already gone above and beyond our expectations in delivering on our mission to build a community united in prevention. In just a few short months, she has helped The OisF apply for a Women’s Health Grant that would enable us to expand our programs and conduct research to support the global efficacy around the positive impact surfing has on survivors of abuse. This grant would also aid The OisF in strengthening our capacity to support survivors through clinical intervention.”
“Jess has also worked with unwavering focus to develop a research-based program designed specifically for young adults,” Alli added. “Focused on power and control in peer friendships and dating partnerships, and its impacts on the developing brain - Jess recently facilitated this extremely well-received workshop at Rumson-Fair Haven High School. We are ecstatic to see how her wealth of knowledge and her exuberant brilliance propels and connects The OisF towards a completely reimagined future.”
Hope On The Horizon
Scaduto emphasized, “Jessica’s calculated passion and her action-oriented, trail-blazing mindset is redefining our understanding of what we believed to be achievable. Jess is helping The OisF take measures to secure a future filled with goals that feel attainable because she is with us. And she is setting an example for all of us of what it truly means to be a ripple of change - a wave, really!”
